Where to Ask for Camas County Records

Start with the Camas County Sheriff's Office when the arrest or custody question begins in Camas County. The county does not publish a public local jail roster, and planning material says prisoners are transported and housed in Gooding or Hailey.

Camas County Sheriff's Office
Sheriff Travis Martin
119 Willow Ave West, Fairfield, ID 83327
Mailing address: PO Box 220, Fairfield, ID 83327
Phone: 208-764-2261
Fax: 208-764-2721
Email: dispatch@camascounty.id.gov

The sheriff page lists driver-license hours as Monday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Thursday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those are not published jail lobby or inmate-visitation hours. Call before traveling for any custody, records, bond, or transport question.

  • For a Camas County arrest or possible local custody record, begin with jail inmate records and the sheriff office above.
  • For booking-photo issues, use jail roster mugshots and ask the sheriff or receiving jail which office controls the booking record.
  • For charges, hearings, or filings after an arrest, use court records after a jail arrest and contact Camas County Magistrate Court, 501 Soldier Road or PO Box 430, Fairfield, ID 83327, phone 208-764-2242.
  • For prosecutor questions, contact Camas County Prosecutor Jim Thomas at prosecutor@camascounty.id.gov, 501 Soldier Road or PO Box 160, Fairfield, ID 83327, phone 208-764-2251.
  • For a receiving facility, check the facility pages for the Camas County Sheriff's Office, Blaine County Detention Center in Hailey, and Gooding County Jail.
  • For an Idaho sentenced prisoner, use the Idaho Department of Correction Resident/Client Search, not a county jail roster.
  • For a federal sentenced prisoner, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. For immigration detention, use ICE's Online Detainee Locator or ICE field-office routing.
  • For custody notifications, use VINELink when available for the relevant agency or custody status.
